Align to Deliver was founded by me, David Morris. Growing out of my earlier work in software development, project management, business analysis, product management, coaching, teaching, and consulting. Nowadays, I focus more on helping organisations to understand how to harness the speed and agility that should come from high-performing teams enabled by aligning with the vision and priorities. 

This combines guidance on adopting hybrid delivery practices at scale, with more joined-up rolling-wave funding and planning, along with an integrated framework for objectives and key results (OKRs). See related site CoachingOKRs.com

In my MBA research paper, ‘The Paradox of Agile Transformation‘, I realised why I was so tired of seeing attempts at improving enterprise agility undermined by the wrong approach, and have become more focused on how to better align the approaches we take.

Contributing back to the community is important. In 2019 I launched Agile on the Beach NZ, work with the Agile Alliance, and contribute to many local meetup groups. I also love writing, as author of ‘Scrum‘ (2017) and ‘Agile Project Management‘ (2022); contributing editor for ‘Agile Extension to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge‘ (2010), with the Coaching OKRs book due for publication in 2024.

For those interested in badge collecting, I am: Certified OKR Professional, Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), Accredited Trainer for ICAgile, Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe Agilist (SA), Certified IT Professional (CITP), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), and hold a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from University of Auckland.
